Data Engineer/Analyst

RANE is hiring a Data Engineer/Analyst to support our growing Data Operations team.  This is a hybrid role where the Data Engineer/Analyst will have dual responsibilities across our Data Operations and Development teams. The Engineer/Analyst will gain broad exposure to various aspects of RANE’s product offerings and will play an integral role in creating and maintaining data across the RANE organization.

 

The Data Engineer/Analyst’s primary responsibilities will be to create queries and dashboards related to usage metrics, analyze usage data for stakeholders, and assist in the integration of artificial intelligence with our content improvement processes.  In this position, the Engineer/Analyst will play an integral in creating visualization dashboards for broader dissemination of usage metrics across RANE.  The Data Engineer/Analyst is also responsible for analyzing customer data to identify platform usage trends for the analyst, product and sales team to make more informed decisions.  They will also play a key role in ensuring that our machine learning/AI processes continue to meet RANE’s quality standards.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Running existing database queries
  • Creating queries for custom database reports
  • Creating data visualizations to be used by executive, sales, product and analyst teams
  • Analyzing data for trend identification

Desired Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or another technical discipline

Data Ops Intern

RANE is hiring a Data Operations Intern to support our growing Data Ops & Product team.  The intern will gain broad exposure to RANE’s suite of Risk Intelligence products and the analysis, content and data that supports them. The intern’s primary responsibilities include learning and mastering RANE’s proprietary taxonomy & classification system to properly tag all RANE’s content and data.  The intern will benefit from reading and staying current on emerging geopolitical, cyber, security and compliance risks.

In addition, the Data Operations Intern will play an active role in RANE’s implementation of artificial intelligence by reviewing machine learning/AI outputs and providing feedback to meet and ensure RANE’s quality standards.

This is a great opportunity for undergraduates looking to gain experience in a fast-growing, B2B company serving the dynamic market for enterprise risk management.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international relations and a keen interest in working with data.

RANE Latin America Geopolitical Analyst

As a member of RANE’s core team of analysts, you will be responsible for developing high-quality and forward-looking analysis related to significant political, economic, and security developments in the Latin America region. You will also be responsible for ensuring that clients are well-served by proactively identifying geopolitical trends while conducting deeper research on key topics including but not limited to political, economic, social, military, energy, technology and trade dynamics. Analysts have direct engagement with clients by supporting inbound geopolitical inquiries and providing briefings. Analysts also play a critical role in our forecasting process and production of Key Forecast Questions and scenario building. You will be trained in the RANE geopolitical methodology and have the opportunity to partner and interact with colleagues across the broader RANE organization and gain exposure to a range of industries and risk topics, including cyber and information; physical safety and security; and legal, regulatory, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geopolitical research and analysis on Latin American countries, trends and developments leveraging open source information, as well as proprietary content/data sets, and in-house subject matter experts
  • Produce daily written content, develop longer-form analysis, and provide briefings to current and potential RANE clients on Latin American political, economic, security and energy issues
  • Actively participate in daily RANE team meetings and forecasting process; responsible for updating quarterly risk ratings related to the region, as well as participating in ad-hoc team analytic projects

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Creativity and clarity in constructing clear, logical arguments with supporting evidence; strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent writing, research, briefing, and editorial capabilities; strong command of English language and grammar
  • Rigor and resourcefulness in conducting open-source research, to include that of local media outlets across the globe, social media, government and commercial data, and academic and trade publications. Experience with primary source research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders; flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements are critical
  • Specific expertise on Argentina, Brazil and Mexico is particularly desirable; expertise on Colombia, Chile and Central America is also desirable.

RANE Sales Executive

We are looking for a new business Sales Executive to join our growing team supporting the company’s expanding footprint in the UK and Europe. The Sales Executive will be responsible for selling our risk intelligence and monitoring platforms and business intelligence and advisory services to CXOs across a variety of industries, government entities and non-profit organizations.  

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and close a pipeline of opportunities following a full-spectrum business development process, including prospecting, discovery calls, demos, scoping conversations, proposal development, negotiations and closing
  • Implement a consultative sales approach where you learn about your client’s challenges and propose ways of alleviating these challenges with relevant solutions; solutions can encompass one or multiple of our firm’s intelligence subscriptions and advisory service offerings 
  • Manage sales cycles with various decision makers across multiple industry segments, while ensuring you are maximizing commercial value across these organizations
  • Provide weekly pipeline reviews with accurate forecasting and client feedback & achieve quarterly and annual sales targets 
  • Represent RANE at events and build a regional network of clients and prospects to share insights and contribute to building a brand awareness

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven track record in new business quota carrying sales role
  • Experience in selling regulatory risk related technology/intelligence information solutions to large corporations, government entities, security and financial firms is preferred
